We offer remote lessons so you can access our club sessions from the comfort of your home or anywhere in the world.

Our story

Club founders Marin and Joe got married in 2024 and began the next chapter of their lives by moving from Los Angeles to Japan. In early 2025, they settled in Kanagawa Prefecture, excited to build connections within their new community.

After living in Japan, Marin and Joe quickly noticed something meaningful: while many of their Japanese family members, friends, and neighbors had studied English in school or through private lessons, most lacked the confidence to actually speak English in everyday situations. Time and time again, people shared the same feelings — they wanted to make international friends, communicate with foreign clients, and travel abroad more comfortably, but felt nervous or unsure about using English in real life.

Seeing this gap between traditional English education and practical conversation skills inspired them to take action. They realized that teaching authentic, real-world “eikaiwa” could be a powerful way to give back to their local community.

That’s how Doco Demo Eigo Club was born.

Instead of creating another strict, classroom-style program, Marin and Joe wanted to build something different — a fun, welcoming, and supportive space where anyone can feel comfortable practicing English. At Doco Demo Eigo Club, learning happens through real conversations, laughter, and meaningful connections, helping members gain confidence and enjoy the process of speaking English together.
